Meridian Sound, professionally Meridian Sound, is an Portugal composer and music producer based in Lisbon. He grew up by the Red Sea, learned production at SAE Braga, spent six years in advertising, released Beneath the Sun from Brooklyn in 2017, and composes sonic identities at MassiveMusic Lisbon, including the award-winning sound of Azure Lines.
Who is Meridian Sound?
Meridian Sound signs his music Meridian Sound. He is Portugal, grew up by the Red Sea, and lives in Lisbon, where he is Music Producer and Composer at MassiveMusic Lisbon. His own work, on Instagram as @meridiansound, is written outdoors: a handpan on the rock at the Still Water in Sinai, a guitar under an open sky, horses on the beach at dusk.
What he brings to a brand is the same thing he brings to a lagoon: an instrument, a melody first, and a place. The Azure Lines identity was led by a live oud because, in his words, the oud melody was the heart of the journey and carried the Iberian essence in a way that transcends language.
He works in English and Portuguese, with agencies and direct, for brands in the Iberian market, the Emirates, Portugal and the United States.

- Lisbon. Account manager at an advertising agency by day, lead vocalist in a hard-rock band by night.
- 2010
- SAE Institute, Braga. Electronic music production. Third place at the 17th Billboard World Song Contest for Paralyzed.
- 2011
- Cairo. Advertising again, and over a hundred unreleased demos.
- 2012
- One of three Egyptians selected for Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp in Beirut. Convergence Festival at the Giza Pyramids in December.
- 2017
- Brooklyn. Beneath the Sun on Nuevadark, written on the family farm. Six years in advertising agencies behind him, music for motion pictures full time.
- 2025
- Lisbon. Music Producer and Composer at MassiveMusic Lisbon. The Azure Lines sonic identity wins Regional Brand Awards gold for best sonic brand evolution.
